Oh boy here comes a rant

I just gotta rant for a second. Why does everyone have to be considerate towards you, but you can't seem to compromise anything for anyone else. The heater has to be turned down to what you want and despite how many other people aside from myself say hey it's fucking cold can we not freeze our asses off you refuse to give in. You are kind of a bitch and you are almost never consider anyone else's feelings but if someone else is that way towards you or not it's unacceptable and you feel the need to chew them out. Like why can't you just move on and let people live their lives like they want. Practice what you fucking preach!! You hate when people try to tell you what to do, maybe stop doing that for everyone else. You might think you're helping but you are not. Stop being a ho and just let people be. Ugh!!! Rant over. For now

Personal Happiness

For a long time I had fallen into a sort of trance. I wasn't necessarily sad, but I wasn't happy either. I was kind of blah. I just went out my daily routine without much effort. Today though I did something different. I started my day doing something that I haven't ever done. What it was doesn't matter, but what does matter is the fact that I messed with my daily routine. I had done something different and for some reason that had an effect on my brain. I don't know if I discovered something today or if I had just dug something that I already knew up into my conscious thoughts. I discovered today that if I want to be happy all I have to do is decide that I am going to be happy, and to take away any thoughts or people that make me unhappy. I know it's not always that easy to be happy. I understand that sometimes things happen, and in those times, it's okay to be sad. However, for me today, deciding to be happy was all it took. It was like the blink an eye. Before, I was kind of just there, then suddenly I had energy and a will that I was going to be okay and I was happy. I'm talking, turn the music up and dance around my room happy. It's like someone turned a switch on in my brain. I will do everything in my power to keep this attitude up for the remaining months of school. I need to do well. All I want is to succeed, and I know that if I can just keep up this feeling of feeling like I belong, then I can and I will succeed. I know it will be hard and there are things that are going to get in the way and make things more difficult, but I know that I can do it if I just believe that I can. There have been few times that I actually truly believed that I could succeed at the task at hand, and the times that I have believed, I have accomplished whatever it was. Life always takes some unexpected twists and turns to get us to where we are, but if we can just believe that we are where we are supposed to be, then we will be able to accomplish anything. If I can pass any sort of knowledge on to you, it will be to just believe in yourself. It doesn't have to be anything big. Believe that you can make it through an hour that you are dreading, or a class, or anything. Just believe that you can do it. I know it sounds silly, but if you truly believe that you will succeed, then you will. It may not always be how you expect it to be, but just believe in yourself. Life is a fickle creature and a force to be wreckoned with. You can beat the fight you are fighting if you believe you can. It doesn't hurt to rely on your family and friends, but let their belief in you, fuel your belief in yourself. That's all I have got to say. Just remember, you can be happy if you let yourself.

Music Major Life

I don't know if I have told you guys this before, but I am a music major. I am at a 2 year college getting my associates in music performace degree, but I will transfer to a 4 year university and I will get my choral education degree. I want to teach high school choir. Today was a very important day for all the music majors at my school. Today was what is called juries. This is where all the music majors perform for all the faculty on their major instrument. What happens is if say you were a singer, like I am, you would go into the room they tell you to start, and you sing a song. They each have a copy of your music and they take notes on your singing while you are singing. After you finish your first song, no one claps. Everyone just finishes taking notes and after they finish their notes for the first song, you sing a second song. Again they have your music, so they know when you mess up and they take notes through this song as well. When you finish your second song, you leave. No clapping or anything. It's kind of nerve-racking, but I've done it a few times so it's not as big of a deal for me as it is for others. Like I said today was this day. It was kind of a crazy day, but after my jury was over, it was all fine. The faculty pick about 10 students out of all the music majors to perform in an honors recital. I wasn't picked, but to me it's not a big deal. For me if I make, then I make it, but if I don't make it, then it's okay too. It would be cool to make it, but it's not the end of the world that I didn't.
This week is getting down to crunch time. Not only is it almost finals week, but there is a performance almost every night, if not every night, for the next couple of weeks. And all the students are in at least 2 different ensembles. I am in 2, but it's crazy. Tonight is dress rehearsal for the percussion concert and tomorrow is the concert and then Saturday is the dress rehearsal for the choir concert and Sunday evening is that concert. So on top of homework I have to practice like crazy to be ready for the concerts and on top of that I still have to work. It is really hard to work and go to school, but it needs to be done. On top of everything else, I woke up yesterday morning with a stomach flu and some sort of cold. I don't have a sore throat, thank goodness, but I have a cough and a stuffy nose. Wish me good luck everyone that I can get through these next couple of weeks without dieing. Wish me better as well haha.

After Lunch at Shari's

So Hailee and I finish eating at Shari's. We get in the car and lay out our plan. We decide that we are going to go to target to get a Christmas movie then go get gas. She tells me "I'm almost out of gas." I'm all like okay sounds like a good plan. We start the car and pull up to the exit and her car RUNS OUT OF GAS!! If I had realized that her car was THAT out of gas then I would have suggested we get gas BEFORE Shari's. This girl. This girl. I don't know what I'm going to do with her.... And then I go and take a picture of her car for this post and all she has to say is "It's so cute..." This girl.

Just A Little Update

Hi all. I just wanted to give you guys an update on my life. School is out today so I'm just chilling at my house. Hailee and I are getting ready to go to Shari's for breakfast. Yes we eat breakfast at noon. Lol my mouth is healing well. I'm just going to school and working anymore. I'm super excited for the holiday season. It's like my favorite time of the year. Here's a little picture update of my face. Ignore the fact that my hair looks stupid and isn't done and Imonly have left over makeup on and I'm still in my pjs. I think the swelling on my face has gone down quite a bit. I have a bruise on my cheek that kinda looks like someone punched me in the face, but at least I can smile now :) Smiling makes my world go round :)

My Roommates

I just want to start this post by saying thank you to everyone who has read this blog. I logged on to see my stats and I was surprised to see that so many people have at least looked at the blog. I hope many more people will read this blog.
I want to tell you a little about my living situation. I am going to college and I live in a six-bedroom two-bath apartment with five other girls. I get along with all of them, but I have really clicked with three of them. They are Melissa, Sarah, and Hailee. They are really great girls. I love all of them like sisters. I actually knew Sarah moving into this apartment. These girls have been a great influence on me, and (I hope) I on them. We started school the end of August and now it's the beginning of freaking November. I mean where did the time go. I feel like school just barely started and now all of a sudden the semester is almost over. The saying that time goes by faster the older you get is so true. I can't imagine what it will be like when I'm like 90-years-old or something and I'm thinking back on these days. (Sorry that was kind of out of no where. I'll get back on track now). I am 19, Sarah is 20, Melissa would like me to leave out her age, and Hailee is 18. Melissa isn't old or anything, she just doesn't want everyone out there to know her age. As a joke, we all call Hailee the "baby." It's kind of a "thing" in this apartment. The role of "mommy" has been passed back and forth between the other three of us. In certain situations each one of us plays the mommy role. It just depends on how we feel at the time. So there it is. There is a synopsis of my roommates. If you have any questions or comments just message me (if you can) or leave a comment. Thank you internet world for at least viewing my blog. You have officially made my night. :)
